When I was living in London I loved walking around the oldest district which was just called The City. I would spend days just looking at all the old historic buildings. The ancient city walls that once stood there encompassed a square mile. The lyrics tell the story of two lovers meeting in this part of London and I name check a few of the small streets and alleyways in the area.
Written in 2004 with the working title of "Bombs Away" until I added the lyrics. Kurtis added in the guitar melody line after the chorus and the high pitched harmonic sound that almost sounds like a piano on the verses. Scott Rio had joined the band so he played a guitar line on the ending of the song. I mixed in a ring modulator effect on his guitar to make it sound as weird as Kurt's guitar and my synth.
